Maasai Mara

Maasai Mara

The crown jewel of the African savannah

Kenya

About Maasai Mara

The Maasai Mara National Reserve is Kenya at its most iconic — endless golden grasslands dotted with acacia trees, roamed by lion prides, elephant herds, and leopards draped over fig branches. Between July and October the reserve hosts the Great Migration, when over a million wildebeest thunder across the Mara River in one of nature's most dramatic spectacles.

Beyond the game drives, the Mara is the ancestral home of the Maasai people, whose culture and traditions add a rich human dimension to every visit. Sunrise hot-air balloon safaris, bush breakfasts on the plains, and sundowners overlooking the escarpment make the Mara as romantic as it is wild.
